Christmas Rose is available in paperback!
So much has been going on these last few weeks it took us longer than usual to get the cover designed and the book uploaded. And by “so much” I mean two birthdays, Christmas, New Years, an anniversary, more overtime for Josh, getting the kids started back in school again, grocery shopping trips we turn into long and fun days out by going far afield, and all the other stuff that goes into day-to-day survival for a large family. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll have seen some of what we’ve been up to.
For those who have been following our T1D story, here’s a quick update on our little Buddy…
In his own words, “My pokes are going well. Sometimes I don’t run away. Sometimes they hurt, and sometimes they don’t.”
We were approved for the continuous glucose monitor just before Christmas, which has been a huge blessing. Buddy hates tummy pokes with a passion, but that one tummy poke every ten days, along with an average of one or two finger pokes, has replaced the minimum of 40 finger pokes he was getting before in that same length of time. Changing the sensor (the tummy poke part) is a struggle, but even he realizes just how much better off he is with the CGM.
I don’t yet have a good plan for when the next book will be coming out. I’m taking January to do something fun with my writing, and that may or may not end up being published. I’m waiting to see what my alpha readers think of the finished story before I make a decision. After this project, I’m hoping to get back to the Taking Chances books and finish Rose and Brody’s story. I think. That is my plan, but our best laid plans can so easily change at the drop of a hat, so don’t hold me to it. 😄
